PetCalc uses a small amount of essential storage to remember calculator history on your device and to remember your privacy choices. Optional analytics cookies and advertising cookies are off by default unless you explicitly allow them.

This policy explains the difference between essential storage, local calculator history, analytics cookies, and advertising cookies, along with how you can clear that data.

Essential cookies and local storage

We may use essential browser storage, including localStorage and limited first-party cookies, for core site features that do not require an account. This can include:

• remembering whether you selected essential-only or optional cookie preferences
• remembering calculator history on your current device
• supporting basic interface preferences required for the site to function consistently

These items are device-level browser storage features. They are not used to create a personal account for calculator usage.

Calculator history

Calculator history is stored locally in your browser only. PetCalc does not send this saved history to our server.

The history feature is limited to non-sensitive calculator data. It is designed to keep only:

• tool id
• non-sensitive input summary
• result summary
• timestamp

PetCalc does not intentionally store names, email addresses, street addresses, or other personally identifying information in calculator history.

Analytics cookies

If analytics tools are added in the future, they will remain disabled until you choose to accept analytics cookies. Analytics cookies may help us measure page performance, site usage, or navigation patterns in aggregate.

If you do not consent, those optional analytics scripts should not load.

Advertising cookies

If advertising tools such as Google Adsense are added in the future, advertising cookies and related scripts will remain disabled until you consent to advertising cookies.

Advertising cookies may later be used for ad delivery, basic frequency controls, or ad performance reporting, subject to the third party's own policy and controls.

How to clear data

You can clear calculator history one tool at a time from each calculator page, or clear all saved calculator history across the site.

You can also clear cookies and local storage directly in your browser settings. Doing so may remove your saved history and your privacy choices for this site.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page if our storage practices, analytics tools, or advertising setup change. When practical, we will update the page content to reflect those changes before enabling new optional scripts.
